The Old Globe is a long-established and respected institution located in San Diego, CA, who engaged AMS to work in tandem with them to create a strategic plan. With support in part from an Irvine Foundation grant, the goal was to build upon the theatre’s history and current success, and work with leadership to create a plan that would well position The Old Globe for success in the future.
Research methods included a situation analysis, best practices research, scenario analysis and planning, development of concept models, and update/creation of goals, objectives, strategies and tactics. By design this interactive approach included several meetings with staff, a strategic planning committee and Board, who provided guidance during the process and input for the final strategic planning document. With clear direction articulated by way of its mission and statement of values, and guidance by way of the strategic plan, the institution has a well-defined road map in place to help direct its actions moving forward.
