AMS is pleased to announce that as of September 1, 2024, Jon Faris will transition into the role of Managing Director at AMS Planning & Research. Michele Walter, who joined AMS in 2006 and has served as AMS’s Managing Director for more than a decade, will continue as a Director at AMS, helping to lead the company alongside Principal Steven A. Wolff and West Coast Director Bill Blake.
Jon has been a Director with AMS since March 2023 and has been working with the firm’s clients since October 2021 on a range of projects from supporting feasibility studies to serving as owner’s counsel to strategic planning initiatives. Most recently, Jon facilitated strategic planning for The Old Globe Theatre and Geva Theatre and completed facility feasibility studies in Panama City, Florida; Dothan, Alabama; and Jacksonville, Illinois. In November 2023, he co-produced the first Immersive Immersive, an effort to build an international distribution network for immersive entertainment, with our partners at Blumenthal Arts and Off-Center at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
Prior to AMS, Jon served as Managing Director at Writers Theatre, where he worked for nearly 15 years, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization and project managing the design and construction of the company’s new theatre center, which opened in 2016.
AMS is excited about this transition, and Jon looks forward to working more deeply with the incredible team at AMS in his new role.
